How a simple accountability system turned missed deals into closed contracts—and how your team can do the same.
Let me tell you about a team leader who came to me with a problem.
Not just any problem, but one that should make every team leader break out in a cold sweat:
Deals were slipping through the cracks.
Buyers were disappearing.
Sellers were frustrated.
And agents?
They were doing just enough to keep the illusion of progress alive.
This team was bleeding revenue.
But the worst part?
Nobody could tell me why.
I sat down with the team leader, and we went through their process step by step, like a detective piecing together a crime scene.
And that’s when we found it.
There was no Review Preview.
What’s that?
A simple accountability system—so simple, in fact, you might roll your eyes.
But as Gary Halbert used to say, “Simple is what makes money.”
Here’s what they were missing:
Every Friday, the agents were supposed to send an email to every active buyer and seller in their pipeline.
Just a short, clear email.
Something like:
What happened this week.
What’s coming next week.
No fluff. No excuses.
Just a review and preview to let clients know they weren’t forgotten.
And here’s where the magic happens:
When agents know they’re accountable for those emails, they suddenly stop slacking off.
Why?
Because the review-preview forces two powerful things.
Clients stay engaged.
Buyers and sellers know the ball is rolling.
They see progress.
That means fewer cold leads and fewer "Are you still my agent?" emails.
Agents get accountable.
When they have to show what they’ve done (and what’s next), they know they can’t just coast through the week.
We implemented this system immediately.
I told the team leader:
“Put this in place and watch what happens. Your agents will shape up fast because nobody wants to admit they did nothing all week.”
Here’s what happened:
Within a few weeks, buyers who’d gone quiet were responding again.
Sellers who were losing patience calmed down and stayed loyal.
And agents?
Agents who were coasting—agents who were “busy” but not productive—started turning in results.
Deals closed.
The pipeline filled.
Production climbed.
Why?
Because the team finally had accountability.
And here’s the thing: this team isn’t special.
They’re not smarter, luckier, or harder-working than yours.
They were just missing a simple system.
And that’s where I come in.
Look, teams don’t fail because of bad intentions.
They fail because they don’t have:
1. The right training to improve performance.
2. The accountability to make sure the work gets done.
3. A steady flow of leads to keep the pipeline alive.
4. The systems to turn chaos into predictable, repeatable success.
It’s your job, as a team leader, to give your people all four.
And right now, I have 1 spot open to work with one more team leader who wants to implement systems like this in 2025.
This isn’t about micromanaging or “policing” your agents.
It’s about giving them a proven system that holds them accountable and drives results you can measure.
If you’ve got a team, and you want to take them from average to high-performing, then here’s what to do next:

We’ll set up a time to talk, and I’ll walk you through exactly how we can get systems like this working for your team.
